The show was absolutely incredible and heartbreakingly powerful. It is of the times, it is necessary viewing and it is so intelligently written. It evokes visceral emotions and really takes you on a deeply human journey. One of that reflects our political climate and is sinister, comedic, gut-wrenching, and humanizing. Please go watch this show if you can. Rosie knows how to direct a play and I've never seen something she's done and not walked away with awe and a profound awe and gratitude for art. Hailee was mesmerizing in this play and I believe no one else could've done this role but her. What a gift to wtiness....

And Her Children walks an impressive tightrope. It is a searing critique of the American gun industry, yet never loses sight of the humanity of those who serve it. Judge this contemporary reimagining of Anna Fierling all you want. She certainly deserves it. And yet the play also demands that you empathize with her, too. That is the power and complexity at the heart of And Her Children....

and her Children hooks you from the start with Hailey McAfee’s undeniable charm and effortless command of the audience. What follows is an upsetting and relevant look at America’s dilemma over who to protect and who to silence.
If you are familiar with Brecht’s Mother Courage, you will enjoy the references and squirm over how history repeats itself. ...

Rosie and Hailey are absolute theatre powerhouses and they have come together to create a masterfully thoughtful and well-executed piece of theatre. You don't have to know anything about Dana Loesch or Mother Courage to enjoy this play - though being familiar with the source material will help you steel yourself for what's coming and see just how brilliantly these two writers have adapted the structure of the original Brecht piece to speak with such clarity, resonance, and urgency to the epidemic of gun violence and these dissonant political times. ...

Hailey and Rosie have again proven themselves to be an impeccable, precise, bold, imaginative and highly specific team. This show is unlike anything I've ever seen - and I've seen a ton of both of these fabulous artists' work. The light and sound designs done by Russell and Padra were brilliant and brought the story to life. Rosie is gifted at bringing out the best in her team and shaping the impulses into a cohesive, bold, one of a kind point of view - and she does that here in spades. It is a group of remarkable artists at the top of their game. ...

Hailey McAfee is a stellar performer in a stellar role. A great script; the show was alternately funny and chilling. Well done and original (even if based on Brecht). Check this one out....

The acting was awesome. The character was complicated and layered. I didn't agree with her but I found myself sympathetic to her plight like I found myself when I watched Kate Winslet in "The Reader".
The music and the character of the musician offered an interesting counterpoint - both with pros and cons - even though her part was small it was very impactful....
