I liked the dialogue the most. It respect the audience and the writing gave us glimpses into each character that was on stage without outright telling it.
What I didn't like
The dialogue was really strong but the performance of 1-2 of the actors could have been improved (respectfully). There were a few moments where I felt like there should have been a beat given to the moment / the new information given. I also felt like the clam farmer could have been given more… nuance? Perhaps it was the performance but I found myself rooting for each of the characters in their own individual way but I didn’t feel that way with the farmer.
My overall impression
Good. The show is good, and I’m checked it out.
The show did a great job balancing the heavy topics of climate change and the changes that happens when we grow up. The story was incredibly relevant, the dialogue well written, and the pace felt natural. Got me thinking about wanting to try acting again.
