What I liked

The direction by Ashley Karp was fantastic. The choice to be making cookies, all while flailing dough around had the whole audience cracking up. All the nuances of what we go through during crisis and tough decision-making were captured as well; calling the friend multiple times for support, choosing what to wear and just ending up in underwear because there is too much internal strife to decide what to wear! Relatable. I really felt like I was in the lead actress’s apartment going on this journey with her. Also, I loved the ending- a nerve-wracking cliffhanger that I thought was perfect.

My overall impression

Superb performance by Veronica Rosas- raw and vulnerable, she had many layers as her character dealing with depression, her experience as a mother, and themes of sexuality and self love, all while being absolutely hilarious.
