What I liked
It takes a brave actor to make cookies on stage… While also bearing their soul!! Everything was so well thought out, and you could follow the character on her journey emotionally. I loved the introduction of other characters via voiceover only, and the ending was flawless! It hit so many emotional notes, I was wrecked! I was captivated and heartbroken. Veronica bared her heart raw on stage; not unlike the cookie dough she was so desperately trying to complete. And it was brilliant.
What I didn't like
Eggs??? Otherwise, not a thing!
My overall impression
What a powerful, bold, and deeply witty performance! It was raw and vulnerable, and honestly acknowledged the deep, dark, manic, and morbid thoughts that women of a certain age have. It landed on so many levels! The performance was sharp, nuanced, and on point the entire time! I was both laughing and crying!
