What I liked
the direction was stellar, as well as the live cello, which drove the piece fervently
What I didn't like
like most theater, i think the play could have baked a little longer in the oven, but given the time constraints of the fringe festival, i commend cast and crew for creating such a challenging and innovative piece!
My overall impression
talk about a tour de force. caroline is a behemoth of a performer — a wonderful and sharp display of acting, dance, physical comedy, live music and writing. excellent direction executed by joan lynch, who was able to weave all of these elements seamlessly in a tight 30 minutes, leaving audiences craving more!
