My overall impression

So much fun!! Writer/director David Beatty delivers beautiful design and lots of laughs with this heartfelt comedy. Smooth, visually-interesting transitions and well-balanced overlap of dialogue. He uses the whole space to tell the story in a very entertaining way — a feat well-accomplished by his cast! Amy Cosby is delightfully sweet and grounded as Laura, finding humor in unexpected places. Rio Magdaleno brings you in for a hug with his lovable, relatable Jack. But the standout is Julie Phillips, who inhabits character after character with bold, eccentric wit and vocal acrobatics. She has the audience laughing – onstage and off! A highly entertaining afternoon – see it!
