What I liked
Every one of the actors shined, Cosby and Magdaleno bring such grounded, genuine presence to these characters and their comedic timing is impeccable. Philips is a comedic force of nature, bringing copious energy and commitment to the array of characters she plays. The writing and direction of Beatty was so clever, he found ways of storytelling that were creative yet consistent and never confusing. The entire thing was polished and wonderfully paced, there was an evident synergy between everyone of them on the team.
What I didn't like
Hard to find notes, it felt tight and very well executed. I loved the idea of the grocery store, it would have been lovely to have revisited that concept again in the play.
My overall impression
A hilarious, beautiful journey that brings us through all the emotions and keeps us hooked and rooting for these characters the whole way through. The creativity in the staging, use of props and unique ways of interacting with each another was amazing to watch. It was a joy to discover what new way we were going to see their story unfold from every scene.
