So much fun!! Writer/director David Beatty delivers beautiful design and lots of laughs with this heartfelt comedy. Smooth, visually-interesting transitions and well-balanced overlap of dialogue. He uses the whole space to tell the story in a very entertaining way -- a feat well-accomplished by his cast! Amy Cosby is delightfully sweet and grounded as Laura, finding humor in unexpected places. Rio Magdaleno brings you in for a hug with his lovable, relatable Jack. But the standout is Julie Phillips, who inhabits character after character with bold, eccentric wit and vocal acrobatics. She has the audience laughing - onstage and off! This show really surprised me in the best way. I went to support a friend of a friend and didn’t expect much, but I ended up being completely blown away. One minute I was laughing hard, and the next I was genuinely emotional. The cast was incredible. All three actors brought something special, and their chemistry made every scene hit. A hilarious, beautiful journey that brings us through all the emotions and keeps us hooked and rooting for these characters the whole way through. The creativity in the staging, use of props and unique ways of interacting with each another was amazing to watch.
