I’ve been a fan of Chris Farah since I saw her work a room back in 2016. She holds a crowd with playful teasing, eye contact and fun character work. And her “Fancy” character is a delightful mix of dolly Parton and moulin rouge harlot. I loved her bit where she came into the audience to harass people with whips and feathers.
I also liked the surprisingly deep commentary on the soullessness of ai. It was refreshing to hear someone call out ai as anti human and anti intimacy. And to do it in a silly, entertaining way.
And finally, I love the visuals. The costume, the wig, the makeup, the rose petals, and the overall commitment to the color red. It was all giving.
What I didn't like
Nothing. It was great
My overall impression
Fancy is a very fun show full of charisma, playful audience interaction, dirty jokes and music. What’s not to like?
