There was some really interesting acting in here. Yaritza Rodriguez and Morry Schorr were both fantastic. Props to Lola Buckland too. A great performance by a young actor.
What I didn't like
I am not sure how I felt about the third play. It felt like it was leaning into some dark stereotypes of Latin women without anything to balance it out, but then I’m not Latin or a woman so I don’t feel like I’m the best judge of it so please take this with a grain of salt. And anyway, Yaritza Rodriguez absolutely SOARS in that role. Still, it was really hard to watch simulated child abuse live on stage. Left a very bad taste in my mouth.
My overall impression
I really found myself moved by the second story, I think this is because A) I love Dracula and B) I am friends with an elderly man who is very important to me. I almost wish this had just been a fifty minute one act. I could’ve watched it longer. Some really interesting stuff in that one. Reminded me of “Switzerland” by Joanna Murray-Smith.
