The middle piece featuring actors known for their portrayals of Dracula was the stand out. Fantastic performances from Ari Litman-Weinberg & Morry Schorr who clearly know their way around live theatre. The format of the 3 separate pieces really made the time fly and kept the pacing pretty smooth throughout the show. Again, horror and sci-fi are done far too little on the stage so I liked that we got 3 differing variations of the genres all in one go. I applaud the team for putting this together and everyone involved for their dedication to the work.
What I didn't like
There were some parts that were a bit confusing in the Monkey’s Paw scene, and some bits of writing here and there that came off as unintentionally funny. Some of the tech sound and lighting effects were ineffective but that could be due to the limitations of the theatre itself.
My overall impression
A cool concept and format to see on stage. It is far too infrequent that darker horror/sci-fi concepts are done live, so that alone is worth applauding. Great job to the creators at the helm, Aditya and Richard!
