What I liked
All of the actors were committed to their roles and brought their own unique energy to them.
I really enjoyed the Bela Lugosi scene with Morry Schorr as Bela Lugosi and Ali Litmanweinberg as Christopher Lee. I loved the line the Bela says to Christopher at the end (no spoilers). I really felt that and enjoyed the commentary.
I enjoyed how they started each scene with the light switch pull! Very clever!
What I didn't like
The stage combat in the last scene got a little too wild for me. I was a little concerned about the actors safety and the front row. The pace of the show could be tighter but overall thought it was an interesting and unique take on a beloved genre.
My overall impression
This was a three story series that nods to the storytelling style of Night Gallery and Twilight Zone while being its own unique take on beloved classics! You can tell there was a lot of passion and love of the horror/science fiction genre in this show!
The show talks about lot of social issues but coded in the science fiction narrative. It’s always cool to see artists tackle real topics and layering them into entertainment. I enjoyed the layers of commentary.
