Solid acting, especially in the Monkey’s Paw adaptation.
What I didn't like
Some sort of costume/prop for the alien would have helped that feel more like a selling point to the story.
My overall impression
I thought the actors did a good job, particularly in the Monkey’s Paw vignette, which was my favorite of the three stories, since I nostalgically remembered the Simpsons Halloween parody of it. The three family members really sold the story, and the modern day take that incorporated abuse and bullying gave the story a nice, contemporary makeover. Similarly, the Birds of a Feather story did a nice job of exploring a sibling family dynamic that made the piece very relatable, alien sibling or not. Of the three stories, I would say Monkey’s Paw really leaned into the horror/supernatural genre the most, and wrapped up the adaptation with a clever ending.
