The whole aesthetic and framing of the show. The way Elodie interacts with the audience. The set design was phenomenal. I loved the dancing and choreography paired with the sensitivity of the performer. The shoes are out of control and I couldn’t stop laughing at them; I love how these absurd shoes were poetically linked to core themes around the show (“big shoes to fill”).
What I didn't like
It was really magical how it felt like their sister actually visited them during the show. I hope their sister visits them even more. It was so special.
My overall impression
I was blown away by this heart-melting performance. Elodie invites you into their Pee-Wee-esque world with such sweetness and light. We feel so connected to them through our shared human experience of having BIG feelings. They play with the audience so beautifully and handle tender topics with deep care and vulnerability. I laughed and I cried. Actually, I wept.
