The emotional arc was really powerful. It’s difficult for a performer to navigate the switch from hilarity to deep vulnerability but Elodie has mastered it! Beautiful set pieces to set the mood, and just structurally really great. There wasn’t a moment that felt dull.
What I didn't like
Shut it. It’s a perfect show and you know it.
My overall impression
Elodie is a force to be reckoned with. I was overwhelmingly impressed with this show. It’s my second time seeing it and it just keeps getting better! It’s clear that Elodie takes their craft seriously, and with the help of director Kyla McCracken they have taken this show to the next level. It’s Pee Wee Herman taking an anger management class, it’s Elmo in a 12-step-program, it’s Elodie Azoulay popping their shit dancing while educating us about the power of feelings.
