Get to know the feelings you never knew you had. Somewhere between a TED talk, a preschool classroom, and group therapy, FEELINGS is comedian Elodie Azoulay’s first solo clown show and delightful romp through the psyche. As they attempt to demonstrate their “expertise” in this immersive queer multimedia experience, the lines between different feelings, between fact and fiction, start to blur. As the coping mechanisms they demonstrate to the crowd start to fail and confuse, we start to see what they are actually coping with. The show blends multimedia, physical comedy, and raw storytelling—think: professionally choreographed dance numbers, powerpoints about pets, and audience participation. FEELINGS is intimate and gentle, but also dangerous and nutty, embodying the tension between play and analysis, profundity and profanity, sincerity and farce.

What people are saying:
“FEELINGS starts out charmingly absurd and quickly becomes achingly brilliant. An uncategorizable experience from a mesmerizing doofus-savant." – Sam, Writer and Lawyer
“Feelings unflinchingly exposes the tragicomedy of no-holds-barred, full-spectrum emotion. Elodie Azoulay’s performance carves out space to live, laugh, love, cringe, cry, and claw out eyeballs as resistance and repression are brought into relief; all to be reminded that it’s safe to be complex because that is to be complete. Witness courage modeled in this wildly entertaining, astute, unhinged, and entirely hypomanic masterpiece. It snatches up the hand and charges through a Wonka-fied factory of human experience: buckle up and prepare to feel feelings." – Theo, Licensed Therapist
“Watching FEELINGS had me tickled, squirming, cathartic-sighing and heart-expanded. The wide-eyed, responsive presence of clown essences that Elodie wove together with absurd satirizing of mainstream mental health frameworks and touching personal storytelling was such a rich and tantalizing combination. Thoughtful playfulness was infused into so many details causing me to twinkle my fingers with delight at the twists and turns. Lets keep talking about feelings, clumsily, deeply, unexpectedly. I’m sure rememberings from this offering/work will pop-up like little bird chirps as I continue to swim through human-emotion waters.” – Tone, Artist and Craniosacral Therapist
