My favorite kinds of shows hide a deeper meaning in what can otherwise just be a solid show. This show is the perfect example of that. While it’s easy to laugh at the outlandish characters created (including a former pro wrestler who now runs a succulent plant store….it makes sense in context) they all add up to a much greater question of what makes up our own personal character? And it does so in a hilarious and poignant way. Highly recommended!
What I didn't like
There were a few characters who I found hard to hear due to accents, and I fear I lost a joke here or there. A minor gripe, considering the excellence of the show!
My overall impression
I knew very little about this show going in, and I am so glad it wasn’t spoiled for me. Horsegirl is completely unhinged in the very best ways, with exceptional character work and absolutely hilarious writing. I attended the closing night performance, but if this show pops up again, do yourself a favor and check it out.
