About the Project
Matt Mantel grew up in the middle of Los Angeles, right in this area where Hollywood Fringe takes place. He attended public elementary school, and then transitioned to private for high school. Through the experience he noticed some intense cultural differences, not only financial and ethnic, but of moral and manner. This divide can be traced to the root of our countries cultural divide and has given Matt a splitting headache. In this comedy special, he lampoons his own community and himself. Matt was raised by artists, took art classes throughout childhood in early 2000s Los Feliz, went to art school in Savannah Georgia, and attempts to find his spiritual place in the art community. He is a product of his environment. Enjoy the raw, unhinged first comedy special of a budding comedian!
