I loved the way the story felt conversational but was able to weave in many characters and stories all the while painting a colorful picture of pursuing the American Dream. The dark parts were contrasted with comedy and just when I thought I knew where the story would go next I would be delightedly surprised by something unexpected. This story gives hope and leaves you feeling good.
What I didn't like
If there were more production budget the set and the costumes could be elevated. Granted this is Fringe- but if it were to go on screen it could have more production value.
My overall impression
Betsy gives a powerful, energy filled performance that encapsulates the ADHD version of Cinderella. It’s a rags to riches story that anyone who has dreamed of moving to LA and making it in Hollywood can relate to. It’s an emotional ride that takes you thru childhood adversity to adult adversity while making you laugh the whole way. I loved this show and think anyone who hasn’t always fit it would too. Highly recommend and can’t wait to see what this shining star does next!
