What I liked

The simplicity of the staging, along with Eve Elliott’s evident love of this music and its historic personalities, make this evening intimate and very entertaining.

What I didn't like

The performance was outstanding – unfortunately, due to scheduling of the next show, we (as the audience) had to clear out almost immediately, leaving virtually no time to socialize.

My overall impression

This is a very entertaining evening of story telling along with virtuoso piano performances by Eve Elliott – a one-woman show recounting the history of ragtime and stride through episodes in the lives of Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Waller. Not to be missed.
