Eve Elliot is a great piano player well versed in the classic American genre of Ragtime and takes us on a journey through its history.
Not only did she tickle the ivories on an upright (AND strum a guitar), but she dons numerous costumes and personas to give us a direct taste of the iconic composers. She dances, too!
The Cat’s Crawl Theater is a nice venue for mood and accessibility. There are couches right next to the stage for those wanting to get up close.
What I didn't like
I saw the preview where there were technical issues. I’m sure they’ve been worked out.
That she tackles so much to recreate the era that it leave her breathless at points. Maybe having an on stage assistant might help.
My overall impression
A charming stroll through musical history. It’s a toe-tapping good time!
