I loved the language of the piece and the way information was revealed throughout the piece. The pacing was also very engaging. The use of space was also very strong, with dynamic staging using little to no set dressings for the actors to play with. The curtains in the voms were really effective with the lighting design as well.
What I didn't like
I would love to know more about the girl who died. We don’t really get a full picture of who she was or what the main characters’ relationship to her was. There was also a fourth girl involved who I wanted to know more about. I understood that that couple could have easily been them, so it helped to keep it somewhat ambiguous but sometimes the confusion took me out of the narrative.
My overall impression
The show was an intimate and poetic exploration of young queer women finding themselves among an institution that asked too much of them. The dialogue was crafted beautifully in a way that transitioned from poetry to prose often.
