What I liked

The consistency of the tone in both writing and directing; absolutely sincere and raw, without gimmicks, apologies, pulled punches, contrivance, or cliches. The lighting, movement (which was confined yet focused, never claustrophobic), and evocative set design all crafted a world that completely immersed me. The actors had great chemistry, with several moments (the neck writing, the first kiss) being absolutely loaded with longing, intimacy, and words unspoken.

What I didn't like

Occasional confusion over the details of the past, particularly the death of an unseen character and how that event was handled by the two of them in a more logistical sense (Were there consequences? How long were they still

My overall impression

A bracingly intimate, sincere, and well-directed play about memory and dependance. A show that has absolute control and use of its space to craft an atmosphere that achieves visual poetry to match its language, never once sacrificing the human pain and yearning at the heart of the story. They are trapped and watched, moving seamlessly between the past and present with no clear resolution for either.
