Soleil’s acting is incredible, and her presence is second to none. There are moments where she is locked into the audience, eyes full of empathy and loss. I loved the blending and layering of imagery, the audio of family interviews, and Soleil’s riveting interpretive movement. It is an astonishing achievement of solo work. And it’s funny too!
What I didn't like
I hate that this is a category :)
My overall impression
This floored me. I left a blubbering fish myself, crying all the way to my car. This is an incredibly poetic examination of the trauma a single parent can inflict on a family. Soleil builds a gorgeous tapestry of a piece.
