What I liked
Soleil used so many different types of media – audio, video, physical theatre, props to tell her story and yet none of them felt out of place. Everything worked together seamlessly and added to the world she created.
What I didn't like
I would love more physical theatre. The moment Soleil was just moving with the audio were compelling. I would love a further exploration of that movement.
My overall impression
This show was absolutely beautiful. I’m still processing it. I wish I could sit with it for longer and really breathe it all in. It is this incredible, tangible poetry and exploration of grief, trauma, rage performed with such precision. The fearless honesty Soleil Kohl displays is astounding. Her ability to transform the theatre into another world and effortlessly bring the audience into it is an incredible gift.
