What actually happens, you’ll just have to see for yourself! The script is nothing short of brilliant—creative, tightly written, and hilarious. It walks a tightrope between satire and sincerity, delivering laugh-out-loud moments one minute, and surprisingly poignant reflections the next. Venus express was super original and entertaining. It had a great mix of social commentary, humor, and heart. I think the author and lead actress, Cristina Flowers, has a lot to say about our current society, and our relationship with technology. The show is an exploration of deep regret. When your life turns out to not be what you expected, and you are forced to look back and realize how precious your life was. There is a beauty in being forced to face those hard truths and Venus Express does so in a fun playful and heartfelt way. The messages of this play are sticking with me so profoundly. A call to move past desperation and conquering and center into the heart and love and presence and play!!!! So beautiful Such a creative and imaginative set design. In the beginning, I felt like I was in a ride at Disneyworld. Moving from Mars to Venus…like moving into the Divine Mother and age of Aquarius. The messages of this play are so timely with all that is going on in the world and funny too with the tongue flicking and sex protein bars. I loved the quirkiness of this show.
