She’s finally doing it—performing stand-up alone. Or at least, that was the plan. But before she can even begin, her puppets have other ideas.
Through a series of unexpected interruptions, this ventriloquist’s show unravels into something much stranger than a comedy set. Each puppet embodies a different approach to performing and all of them seem determined to prove that stepping onstage alone is a terrible idea.
As she attempts to push forward, the line between control and chaos blurs. What starts as a simple goal—figuring out how to be a solo comedian—turns into a surreal, self-reflective journey through identity, performance, and the ways we reveal ourselves even when we think we’re holding back.
But as the night unfolds, something else becomes clear. She always thought ventriloquism was a way to avoid being too personal onstage—but what if it’s the opposite? What if this is the truest version of herself?
