Great performances by the entire cast, with the stand out characters being portrayed by the absolutely brilliant timing of Grant Jordan and exquisite specificity of Jessica Kinsella. Also great in the show is the stunning and conflicted Annie Grant, the earnest and perfectly cast Alan Trinca and scene-stealer Dan Sanders-Joyce, who channels Hercule Poirot and Jerry Springer into a dizzyingly hysterical performance.
What I didn't like
Just a bigger space and more time. Think that’s more Fringe’s fault than the production.
My overall impression
Do you miss the hysterical sitcoms of the 90s? Will & Grace? Friends? Here is a live version brought into 2025. Full of laughs and heart with tight writing, pitch-perfect performances and when the Sh*t hits the fan in the conclusion you will be so happy you paid for your ticket. We need more theatre like this in LA. We desperately need to laugh right now and Otherwise, Engaged gives us what we need.
