What I liked

Travyz is undoubtedly and talented wordsmith, both in the poetic interludes and the actual hip hop numbers, and passionate about the content of which he’s rapping (which runs the gamut from being alone in the apocalypse to, well, crepes). The music production was phenomenal, as were the visuals. This was a really well packaged show! I also appreciate Travyz keeping the video content current, as daunting as that is. The current events covered were literally up to date as of the performance. Of course in this modern news cycle that doesn’t stay the case for long; I suspect there are already updated visuals to represent more recent developments.

What I didn't like

The only thing that bothered me occasionally was the balance of the music and the vocals. Live music is tough during a theatre festival setting, so I lost some of the lyrics or some of the backing music from time to time. A minor gripe, and I applaud Travyz for their performance and perseverance!

My overall impression

A surreal journey through current events using poetry, hip hop, and insane visuals. I mean that makes sense, these are insane times. Gatzby Is. is a lot of things, but it is first and foremost unique in it’s content and delivery. An absolutely worthwhile effort.
