What I liked
The simplicity of the “awkward” interactions we get to have with this character and the repetition of them made me feel comforted and seen in a way that stuck with me after. Reshma taps into another dimension of small talk and awkward social interaction that makes it somehow romantic and meaningful. The triviality of the small talk is offset by how earnest tape man feels about what he’s talking about and how much he actually cares and is clocking what you say. Just when you’re settling into how you think the show will continue Reshma hits you with a real-life magic moment that you swear could not have been rehearsed but had to have been, and her many callbacks throughout reminds you that she’s tracking this whole thing very closely. She’s an inspiration to the kind of clown I strive to be; patient, attentive, slow, weird, magical, tender, bold, and lovable.

My kind of weird. There are so many incredible shows at fringe and out of my top five favorites this one touches my weird little heart just a bit more intimately.
