Bender was the standout! Incredible actor! A breath of fresh air, so funny and full of life. Claire was great too. Allison was also hilarious and so wacky.
What I didn't like
You can’t really fault them for the fact that the actor playing Brian had an emergency. It’s just one of those unfortunate things. That definitely threw off the timing, the poor director had to fill in with his script in hand. I feel like some of the heavier dramatic moments were rushed through or they didn’t deliver their lines loudly enough, so the moments didn’t always land. It was all just a little shaky if that makes sense. Not horribly so but the pacing was a little off.
My overall impression
An ambitious production, impressively executed with an abundance of charm, humor, and grace. While some of the heavier emotional beats don’t quite land the way you’d hope, much leniency is granted due to the challenging iambic script, short prep time, and the absence of the actor playing Brian Johnson. The physical comedy was well played, with innovative choreo with props and set pieces given the limited scope of Fringe. Very fun to watch, lot of laughs, the actors inhabited the characters very well
