The chemistry between the two sisters was incredible, and the casting of the other characters was PERFECT. They brought strong emotion, humor and depth to their roles. The entire dynamic was complimentary; each got to shine in their moments.
The stage production was creative and detailed (the coffee table books for example), so that even the background moments were thoughtful and interesting. Examples of this: When the characters were on their phone or talking to one another behind the glass door; when one of the main characters evaluates the check placed in her bag; when the characters with beverages engage in actually drinking the beverage.
I laughed, empathized, and felt moved by a key monologue in the story. I had a great time at this amazing production of ELEMENOPEA.
What I didn't like
Even the door not fully closing was not distracting because the cast played it off so well and easily.
My overall impression
This show was so fun and playful with elements of deep emotion and complex feelings. I was fully engaged for the full 90 minutes, to the point that I didn’t think about my phone once, which is saying something in this phone-addicted time.
