What I liked

The title alone evokes such vulnerability, disposability, and objectification, but in this stunning piece, Lotte Lenya reclaims her broken, tossed-aside body and transforms it into something powerful: a vessel of memory, rage, survival, and resistance. Her journey lays bare the ways men tried to control her body, her art, and her place in the spotlight. Shelley Cooper delivers every beat of it through breathtaking song, dance, and scene work, all illuminated by lighting design that feels like an emotional pulse, guiding us through every shift and shadow. I was absolutely blown away!

My overall impression

What a magnificent piece! Shelley Cooper shook me to my core! I get chills just thinking about being in that theatre. The power of this play is overwhelming; raw, bold, unforgettable. Shelley is a brilliant artist in every sense: actor, vocalist, composer, dancer, storyteller. A true force! This show is a must-see!
