In the brief time she has on stage, Lisa brings Arnie back to life, and we are lucky enough to meet a wonderful man who was generous of spirit, whose love for his children knew no bounds. He was also funny as hell. That is his gift to Lisa, and she is his legacy. She is an outstanding solo performance artist at the top of her game. This is the best one-woman show I have ever seen. Netflix, are you listening?
What I didn't like
Nothing.
My overall impression
This portrait of Lisa’s father, Arnie, and her relationship with him is both moving and hilarious. The love she feels for him is so strong, it’s palpable, which is why your heart breaks for her when she reveals the circumstances of his death. The show will leave you angry at his treatment in our healthcare system. However, Lisa makes sure that the show is not just about how he died, but also about how he lived.
