The actress strongly showed the characters of the fear and hysterical. She even learned the local ascent from China. When I saw the show, my emotions went up and down with her actions. She was good....

Wow, this show was incredible. I saw the performance on Saturday 6/21 6pm - and to say it was riveting was an understatement. The seriousness of the drama, combined with the factual and sociological realities of personal relationships across mainland China and Taiwan sparked interest enough, but when the drama begins with the aftermath of a woman who murders her husband and the stigmas surrounding the overall treatment of women - and the magical way this cut in and out of reality in such a way, you are left wondering how much is psychological and metaphoric and how much is the actual reality of the times. The actors were uniformly spectacular in creating this emotional mindscape of whether it was real or just imagined - or even how you as a ...

I was honestly moved by the amount of raw emotion and wonderful acting that took place. There weren't many side characters or props and most of the scenes were exchanges (which made it feel you were in the room with them). Sadie did a fantastic job of portraying a very complex character. You didn't know whether or not she was innocent, calculated or if she was simply unhinged. The policeman was also very good at creating tension and dialogue between the two, slowly unearthing her. Also the interviewer was a great character for balance between language transitions with semi comical relief. ...

I went to see the play on Saturday, June 14th.
It was a story set in a police station, following a wife who had suffered domestic violence and ultimately killed her husband. The lead role, played by Sadie, powerfully conveyed just how terribly she had been treated by her husband through her facial expressions and intense performance.
Although almost all of the dialogue was in Chinese, English translations were displayed on a screen simultaneously, which made it easy to understand and follow....

It was great to see a multilingual show in real time - and addressing domestic violence issues based off of a true story. Tying Medea and the dancers in. The actors were talented- and it was bringing up many important themes!...

Since the show was mostly in Mandarin (and unfortunately the subtitles had a technical difficulty) I needed to tap into other ways of understanding the show. Though knowing what was actually being said would have gave me another level of processing/understanding (of course).
I found that through the acting, the tones of the music/dancing/lighting, use of the Madea character, the little summary I read in the program about the show prior and a few scenes in English connected me to the story of the universal struggles of immigrates and women. We all think we are so different...but we aren't. The truth is there are universal struggles and some things transcends language. ...

This is a visually striking piece that grapples with a lot of themes that are relevant to what we see in the news on a daily basis. Her Rage is an important work that speaks to many forms of oppression....
