The audience interaction was really cool to see, especially with seeing how they changed the vibe of the scene (placing his phone on a “friendly branch” certainly got one hell of a laugh in the show I saw). I also loved how Mark was able to get strangers to play in the space instead of relying on plants to sell the gags, although actually giving us plants was funny too.
What I didn't like
Nothing jumps to mind. “Larry” might be a wannabe YouTube content creator, but that didn’t make me want to spend any less time with the character.
My overall impression
A slice of YouTube, right here at the Hollywood Fringe! Hilarious but not without heart, Out There had me rolling, whether it was hunting moose or a run in with a wild bear. This also feels like a show to try and see multiple times, as you never know what might change the second time around.
