I loved how the ENTIRE audience was part of the show, and also how you could basically choose for yourself how much you wanted to be. The way Mark plays with the audience is exciting because he puts a good deal of trust in us, yet always leaves you feeling completely safe, knowing that even if somebody goes off the rails, it’ll all turn out great because Mark’s got it handled. The use of the passage of time was so well done and so funny. And yeah I just loved the whole show honestly, one of the first few shows I saw at Fringe this year and I’ve been thinking about it since.
What I didn't like
:) got nothing here
My overall impression
Commitment and inventiveness, and generosity. I was deeply impressed, delighted, and laughing the whole time. A beautifully heartbreaking story when you think about it but portrayed in such a way where we laughed along at every devastating mishap, buoyed by Mark’s unfettered sense of hope and determination. That’s part of what he does so well in this show — forging forward despite his dreams crumbling around him. It’s so funny. It’s so good. I am excited to see it again.
