Mark Vigeant: OUT THERE

Mark you beautiful bastard, you blew me away with this show. With Out There, he's really created something special. Yes there's the beautiful technical wizardry that drops you into a different world, but what really works here is that Mark has created a character that allows him to play to all his strengths and deliver so much pure joy to the audience. It's really an engaging and loving performance, and the connection with the audience was palpable throughout. We were all on board and rooting for this guy. He was lovable, not despite his flaws but because of them. A truly special show, I hope it goes far and wide. ... full review

This is, hands down, one of the best shows I’ve seen not just at fringe this year, but any fringe ever. It is so fun, so super funny, and has so many interactive twists and turns, my face and stomach hurt so much from laughing. It was so good, I went twice and brought my girlfriend the second time. In a festival filled with incredible shows (something special is happening this year), this is a major stand out. OUT THERE is pure comedy genius with a heart. Mark brilliantly creates a wilderness inside a black box theater with incredible imagination AND technology, and the audience is happy to join him on this ride. A very playful show, you can tell from the second Mark enters the theater he's having fun, which allows the audience to go on a remarkable journey with him. Mark has created a unique piece of art that I don't think anyone else would have the brilliance to think of... while being such clever and effortless satire of masculinity and it's downfalls, it does so in ways that are multi-media and utilize live theater and performance like nothing I have ever or will ever see again. This is the type of show that Fringe was built for. Experimental, funny, provocative, yet still full of heart, "Out There" is full of surprises that never cease to delight! It's one of those theatrical miracles that occurs when a seasoned performer and excellent character writing collide with phenomenal tech (easily the most technically impressive show I've seen this year). Out There is a cross between that episode of The Office where Michael tries to survive in the wilderness and an insane acid trip. I didn't stop laughing and I never knew what he was going to do next. Mark is a master of his craft, don't miss this show!... full review
