What I liked

Jessica was like one of those fun, engaging and cool teachers you had in school giving us a history lesson. She made the information fun and plateable but also direct and didn’t sugar coat. She was very real and passionate, connecting to us with history, while grounding us in reality with personal stories and current events.

I also LOVED the game show segment! Lots of fun audience engagement and connection. I felt like I was with her in the experience.

Her performance was engaging, fun, passionate, high energy, socially sensitive, but grounded, connected and while also tender and valuable.

What I didn't like

Nothing, I thought Jessica delivered a strong show with an important message.

My overall impression

Jessica is a social justice warrior! I knew a lot of the things she was talking about but I also learned so much. I was unfamiliar with Ann Lohman but now, like Jessica, I am hooked on learning more! Words cannot describe how powerful, important and well done this piece is. I am grateful I saw it because I left the theater not only entertained but armed with new knowledge and a sense of community.

Though the audience I saw the show with was small, they were fabulous! It does make me sad that more people were not there to hear this very important and relevant piece of theater. Go check out the show!
