What I liked

I love Titi’s comedic voice. They are curious, sensitive, and smart, while also being confident, crass, and base. Incredibly written jokes and sincere vulnerability all the way through. I appreciate their willingness to share their life story as though we are all friends rather than strangers. They do this with such levity and poise. I appreciated their implementation of nudity onstage. To me, this moment acted as a normalization of one’s body and seamlessly brought us one step closer to Titi in examining their journey with their body. The final drag number was silly and heartfelt and reminded me of my own brother. That’s when I cried. Also the ending is perfect.

What I didn't like

nothing at all

My overall impression

I was in tears by the end of the show. Titi share’s their story in a confident and incredibly funny way; including extremely personal details. What makes Titi so skilled and such a joy to witness is that they are able to find unique humor in dark places and they hold space for us to feel our own pain. It is a show about celebrating life and those we love. It’s about queerness and the body. It’s about sexuality and partnership, and the love and pressure that comes with being Asian. As a B+ Asian, myself, I felt totally seen.
