I loved the writing and the acting. Barbara says some extremely cruel things to Marlene, but Marlene reacts with strength and sometimes wit, making her character even more dynamic. These were some of the most intense conversations I have seen portrayed in theater but I think it was necessary because this is what is happening in life. No one held back in the writing or the acting. It was so real and raw. Yet, at the same time it gave us hope as an audience. In this story a person realized where they were wrong and became willing to change. It gave me hope that people in this world we live in can also change.
What I didn't like
Looking forward to seeing this story shared far and wide!
My overall impression
I was blown away by this production. Of all the shows at Fringe this year, this one spoke to me the most. With such naturalistic acting and connection between the two leads, an important message is told.
