I loved the games he develops with the audience. Clown shows make me feel like a kid and this was one of the best examples of that. The audience was having SO much fun. I loved Ian’s astonishing physicality and incredible presence with the audience. He was so attuned to us at the same time his character is crumbling. And the stagecraft! This is a gorgeous and transportive show. You won’t believe how many clever tricks he has up his cape.

My overall impression
One of my favorite shows of fringe. Ian is an idiot supreme. This show is perfectly a constructed cantankerous comedy. (Sorry for the alliteration). I loved the metaphor of the show — a perfect premise that I won’t give away. I laughed nonstop for an hour straight and that was very healing indeed.
