What I liked
I would have been all-in for more of what the show’s first 2/3 were all about — I’d have happily spent hours watching Todd Macabre makes his way though the spooky woods for more surreal hijinks, not to mention his laboratory for more absurd and stomach-churning potion-making… — but the surprising icing on the cake just elevated what was already a fantastic hour of entertainment to a whole new level. I really appreciated the ride.

My overall impression
So far, this has easily been one of the highlights of the 2025 festival! A wholly entertaining hour packed with consistently-effective comedy, a committed and fully-embodied lead performance, audience interaction, and a last-minute twist that surprised with its level of personal poignancy. The audience was rolling in the aisles pretty much throughout, then dead silent as Todd Macabre revealed its secrets. A fantastic must-see!
