You could feel that Ian was having fun helping us have fun, he is an easy and generous performer. My two clown-doubting friends came at my urging and afterwards, they said they had a great time, so I was validated.
What I didn't like
I wish I got picked to do the Witch bc my cackle is on point!
My overall impression
Todd Macabre feels like a children’s show for adults, methodically paced yet fun every minute. Ian effortlessly coaxed a group-mind from the audience and everyone participated enthusiastically. Each little turn was clever and silly, which is enough on its own, but also smartly framed an allegory about self-repression and ultimately recovery and integration. The attention to detail in the set, props, and tech were the cherry on top.
