I loved Ian’s performance, the set, the costumes, the story, the audience participation, the vulnerability, the sound cues, the fog machine… I guess I liked everything!
What I didn't like
Nothing!
My overall impression
This has been one of my favorite shows of Fringe so far! As soon as you walk in, you feel like you’re in a haunted house in the best possible way. And then Ian enters and completely puts the audience at ease with his effortless and compelling stage presence. He introduces us to the spooky woods and takes us on a delightful romp through a Halloween-y playground that feels like just a silly game we’re happy to play with him. But then he unravels the threads of that play into a truly moving and painful revelation I was not expecting. Absolutely loved it!
