A beautifully stupid and gripping meditation on queerness that I totally wasn't expecting at all. Ian is such a darling fool, they have you eating so fast out of the palm of their hand. The audience loves his every move. It's one of those shows where you are excited for every minute of it, you never know what Ian will do! His use of stage effects is so integrate into the storytelling, and his excessive use of fog is so stupid and never failed to make me laugh. Todd's world is vivid, more so, Trodds... ...

Ian commits so hard and has such a commanding presence on stage that you almost forget this isn't a show written and performed by a guy named Todd Macabre. He's remarkably present, charmingly mischievous, and relentlessly funny, all of which makes for a super enjoyable hour of pure dumb fun. ...

Todd Macabre is a wild, hilariously irreverent, fun, thought-provoking exploration into accepting your authentic self. Ian's background in clowning is on full display as he transforms into a wonderfully bizarre Dr. Jekyll grappling with his inner Mr. Hyde. Beneath all the madness lies a beautiful message about identity, vulnerability, and self-acceptance....

So far, this has easily been one of the highlights of the 2025 festival! A wholly entertaining hour packed with consistently-effective comedy, a committed and fully-embodied lead performance, audience interaction, and a last-minute twist that surprised with its level of personal poignancy. The audience was rolling in the aisles pretty much throughout, then dead silent as Todd Macabre revealed its secrets. A fantastic must-see!...

Yes I fucking enjoyed Todd Macabre! And frankly I don't wanna talk to anybody who didn't! A very playful way of portraying the beautiful, victorious transformation that Ian has gone through to accept all parts of himself. It brought tears to my eyes. Especially when he fucked the horse!!!...

Todd Macabre is clowning at its best: honest, unhinged, and totally unforgettable. Ian has built a haunted playground full of gothic delight, existential dread, and laugh-out-loud brilliance. It’s spooky, silly, and strangely tender. This show is a gift, and with only one more added performance, those tickets won’t last. Do yourself a favor and visit these Spooky Woods before they disappear into the fog!
