The acting was great! Both Callie and Spencer did a wonderful job. I liked their delivery of the lines and the facial expressions and body language of both. I also liked the dance with strobe lights between scenes. It added a feeling of energy and commotion that both parties are going through. A good way to dramatize friction. The wonky Ai sounding voice of the judge was also very interesting. The writing was very believable and amusing.
What I didn't like
I would love to see the dog sitting on a chair as part of the drama, if only for a few minutes.
My overall impression
It was intense and sad at the same time humorous causing unease between both partners. Since dogs are part of the family, a break up has the same impact on both parties that a child would have. It brings up a lot of emotional anxiety, someone will be left with grief from the loss of the dog. It makes you wonder who will get custody. The writer Benjamin Schwartz did a thoughtful job of letting you get to know the relationship the couple had before the custody battle over the dog. A lot is revealed from their past lives together through flash backs.
