What I liked
Mia’s warped brain. How do you take a tapeworm and use it as a metonym for botched love, persistent heartache, Jewish ritualism and artistic struggle? I don’t know but Mia is clearly smarter than I am.
What I didn't like
Nick threw an inflatable saxophone at my head and I will be suing the Broadwater for physical damages… and Mia for emotional ones.
My overall impression
A delightfully bizarre, joyous and frequently romantic excision of the kind of heartache that all artists must be subjected to on the route to wholeness. Mia is a refreshingly honest performer; they have shed all pretense in favor of raw vulnerability which is so rare.
