What stood out most was the clever use of space and audience engagement. The staging of the apartment props cleverly integrated into the set and the squirm worm puppet created an intimate and inclusive environment that made the entire performance feel alive and unpredictable while still being incredibly heart felt.
I’m still humming some of the melodies. Catchy and quirky! They wormed themselves into my ears just like the incredible puppet performance of squirm wormed itself into my heart.
What I didn't like
I want more. I want to see this show grow, evolve, and worm its way further into the live theatre scene. I’m already looking forward to seeing it again.
My overall impression
I absolutely loved this play. It transported me straight back to my days growing up in children’s theater, rekindling that early love for campy, cult classics like Rocky Horror and Little Shop of Horrors. The show struck a beautiful balance between absurdity and vulnerability, and I found myself completely immersed from start to finish.
