What I liked
I was especially struck by the inventive choreography and raw autobiographical songs, emotional vulnerability amidst the surreal comedy of the story. The puppetry marries the absurd with Mia’s medical tribulations; it is both playful and unflinchingly honest.

“SQUIRM” is a singular, gutsy ride—equal parts hilarious, tender, and surreal. It’s rare to see a piece tackle chronic illness and identity with such humor and originality. The result is a deeply personal, wonderfully weird journey.
